David Eileen is a non-binary lesbian poet from Ohio living in the mountains of Virginia. David earned his MFA from Florida Atlantic University after studying psychology & gender at the University of Dayton.
Their poems have been or soon will be published in The Atlantic, Black Warrior Review, Prairie Schooner, Image, Missouri Review, Painted Bride Quarterly, and more. His manuscript I Came to This Planet for Our Family Reunion was a 2023 Dorset Prize semi-finalist.
David’s work is concerned with the mysticism & physicality of the human body, especially as it relates to the beauty & violence that people inflict on the world. If this sounds like it resonates with your creative drive, David also offers manuscript consultations, feedback on individual poems, and tutoring/mentorship on a freelance and sliding-scale basis.
